How to get to the mine
The "Wieliczka" Salt Mine is located 10 km from the center of Krakow. It is located in the vicinity of the E40 route and may be accessed in a few convenient ways.
The most convenient way to get to the Wieliczka Mine when you come by train is by a public bus number 304 departing in the vicinity of the shopping mall Galeria Krakowska (Kurniki Street), located at the exit of the Main Railway Station in Krakow, getting off the bus at the stop called Wieliczka Kopalnia Soli. The fare is 3.80 PLN (about 0.80 EUR), travel time is 25-30 min.
There are also private minivans departing in the vicinity of the Main Railway Station in Krakow, going in the direction of Wieliczka Rynek; get off at a stop called Wieliczka Kopalnia Soli (Wieliczka Salt Mine). The fare may be slightly higher.
